A Letter from The President

Dear Members,

I am pleased to report that the Club’s financial position has improved dramatically over the last year and that we made it through the recent hurricane / tornado with no major damage.

Over the past year the Club has benefited from several factors including:

Initiatives driven by Jan and George to increase play and recruit new Members;
Continued generosity of our Members;
Significant efficiencies in operations and technology, including outsourcing bookkeeping and improving the website;
Robust online activity through our partnership with SE Carolina;
Increases in table fees and dues.

Dear Members,

The Board of Governors has appointed the Nominating Committee for this year. We would like to acknowledge our appreciation in advance for their willingness to contribute their time to this important task on behalf of the VBBC.  The Committee will be seeking candidates to fill three vacancies on the Board of Governors for calendar year 2025.

The candidates, along with four existing Governors who are standing for a second term, will be presented to the membership for approval at the Annual Meeting in December.
